We all know the horror stories, so what does cyber security really mean?

This session will guide participants how to approach cyber security from the top down, ensuring that it becomes part of your culture whether you are a sole trader or large organisation.

Touching on real-life experience, we will discuss why everyone has or will be hacked at some point in their lives, and will provide some simple yet effective, hands-on guidance for how to secure yourselves, and your business from the bad guys.

We will also discuss the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) which comes into force in May 2018, what this will mean for your business and how to ensure you comply.

Sarah Green is Business Manager of the Cyber Security Division at Training 2000 one of the UK's largest group training associations. Sarah's role is to lead, develop and grow the total vision for the company's cyber security business unit. Sarah provides training and consultancy to clients in line with the Government's Cyber Security Strategy to empower commercial, public bodies and private individuals to ensure their systems and processes, both on and offline are robust, safe and secure.

With over four years experience in strategic roles within the industry, Sarah feels passionate about helping businesses break down the barriers to putting cyber security processes in place, working with them to identify their risks and providing a gateway to information and support, so that they can protect against this ever-growing threat.
